- AboutStories that Move Mountains is the title of a book currently under development by Martin Sykes, Nick Malik, and Mark West. It is also a philosophy and a fantastic method of developing understanding and influence. Our book is dedicated to teaching you how to build influence, grow understanding, and foster effective decision making through the development and use of Visual Stories. In our book, we describe the Story Map and the CAST process, two essential tools for both novice and skilled influencers. Using these tools, we show you how to build a Visual Story, an effective and deliberate mechanism for building influence among your peers, superiors, customers, investors, and stakeholders. The Story Map is a model… a template of sorts… that helps the influencer to focus on key aspects of the Visual Story, encouraging you to hone your understanding and sharpen your story.
